The Yorks Chamber of Commerce invites you to visit: From the excitement of York Beach to the peace and quiet of vast wilderness areas, York truly is an ideal vacation spot--for all reasons and in all seasons. Relax on miles of sandy beaches, experience the history at the Old York Historical Society Museum, or enjoy family fun at Maine's largest zoo and amusement park. On a clear day, you can see miles of scenic coast from the top of Mount Agamenticus. No visit to York would be complete without a trip to Nubble Lighthouse, one of the most beautiful, and most photographed, lighthouses in America. York offers family-oriented events and festivals year-round, including Harvestfest in October and the week-long York Days, held summertime in York Beach. A wealth of fine restaurants and accommodations, including oceanfront resorts, campgrounds and cozy bed and breakfasts, will make your stay comfortable and memorable. For more information, call The Yorks Chamber of Commerce, visit our Website, or stop in and see us at our Visitors' Center on Route 1 in York, one of Maine's great vacation treasures.
