Inspired by celebrations for the 350th Anniversary of the Town of Wells, a group of local farmers joined together in 2003 to form the Wells Farmers' Market. Since then, the market has grown each year and continues to flourish with interesting offerings such as hand-crafted cheeses and fresh Maine lobster. The Market also features fresh local fruits and vegetables, organic produce, baked goods, flowers, eggs, meats, fresh and dried herbs, cheese, and potted plants.
