Magic Falls Rafting Co. is Maine’s fun, safety-conscious, value-priced whitewater outfitter on Maine’s Kennebec and Dead Rivers. Family owned and operated since 1989, safety is Magic Falls’ Number One Priority. Owner, Dave Neddeau is on the rivers almost every day of the season guiding or leading trips. The company has a fleet of rafts including custom-designed state-of-the-art self-bailing Aire rafts, and Class 3/5 model PFD’s with the highest flotation rating.
Magic Falls is well known for its specialty packages for families, youth and college groups, Scout Merit Badges, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and project graduation trips. It pioneered the Multi-Magic Trip-a double run of the Kennebec’s upper gorge. Its Outback Adventure including camping, outdoor BBQ, rafting, fun-yaking, a hike to Moxie Falls and wildlife safari was cited by Air Tran’s in-flight magazine “GO” as one of the 20 top Family Adventures in the USA.
Magic Falls base facility is located along the banks of the Dead River and includes the area’s only outdoor climbing wall, a recreation pavilion, changing and shower facilities, campground with tent sites and cabin tents, a lodge with queen, king and bunk rooms and an ADA room, and the River’s Inn, a housekeeping inn sleeping 16, a favorite with small groups. Recreation amenities include a hot tub, volleyball court, basketball half court and float tubes.
