Little Long Pond Off-Leash Area

277 Peabody Drive Bar Harbor, ME Phone: 610-933-8801

The Little Long Pond Off-Leash Area is private land that is shared with the public. The property is not fenced but trees act as a border. Dogs that are not trained to come when called should stay on a leash. This area is the only location designated for dogs near Acadia National Park; dogs need to remain on a leash when visiting any other area of the park. This beautiful park has grassy areas, rocks, and water. There is a large pond here for dogs to enjoy on hot days. Dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations visiting this park. Bring fresh water and a bowl for your dog to prevent dehydration. Drinking out of the pond is not recommended.
Access: Near Seal Harbor close to the east side of Long Pond. You can park on Peabody Drive which is about one mile west of Seal Beach.
Hours: Daily, sunrise to sunset
