We at the Captain Briggs House B&B want to welcome all family members, which means that we also include the family dog! Of course, we have to make sure our other guests are also comfortable, so there a few rules for dogs and their pet owners:

• No continuous barking should you leave the dog in your guest room.
• House broken, naturally!
• Dogs must be well-behaved and friendly. No picking fights with other dogs or snapping at other guests.
• Preferably, pets should not sleep with their owner in the same bed. (We do recognize that some dogs have always slept with their owners, so this is not a hard and fast rule!)

We love dogs and realize that more and more travelers are taking their beloved pets with them on their New England vacations. That is why we are welcoming travelers with dogs with "open paws" to our pet friendly lodging. Our Pampered Pooch Package includes a comfortable and plush fleece doggy bed, gourmet dog biscuits, water and food bowls, and an extensive list of local outdoor recreational activities for you and your pet to enjoy, doggy daycare options, and local veterinarians just in case something unexpected occurs. To respect our other guests, we have a limit of two well behaved dogs per room (no size restrictions), and ask that dogs not be left unattended at anytime in your room and be kept on leash in all public areas. Guests will be asked to sign and adhere to our pet policies and etiquette upon arrival and check-in. There is a $25/pet/night fee. Specific rooms are designated pet-friendly, so please call ahead to make your reservation.

The Captain Jefferds Inn Bed & Breakfast in Kennebunkport is a warm and inviting 1805 sea captain’s home and pet friendly lodging destination. From the time you enter through the inn's red front door you will experience the charm, comfort and exceptional hospitality provided by the innkeepers and the dedicated staff. We have five rooms that are dog friendly. The rooms are located in our attached carriage house, all with convenient outside entrances to make it easier on you and your four-legged friend, and for the comfort of our other guests. There is an additional $30 per-dog per-day charge and we offer excellent in house dog-sitters at a rate of $10 per hour. We will gladly provide any number of pick-up bags for your use and there is a convenient trash can located at the top of the green next to the inn.

Sea Mist has limited and specific accommodations. Currently there are 4 rooms available for guests traveling with pets. Our designated “Pet Rooms” offer you and your pet comfort and convenience and help safeguard guests who may be subject to pet allergies.

We strive to deliver quality & affordable accommodations and ask that pet owners refrain from using guest towels for pets or allowing pets on beds or other furnishing. If you forget to bring items from home we have loaner pet towels and bedding. Daily maid service is required for all pet rooms. Leashed dogs are allowed on Wells Beach. Mid-June thru mid-September dogs are allowed only before 8AM and from 6PM-8PM.

To make your pet feel at home, away from home, we supply blankets, food and water bowls, trash bags, walking maps, treats, and lists of pet friendly beaches in our area.
