41st Annual Trek Across Maine

THE 41st ANNUAL TREK ACROSS MAINE: Join the American Lung Association for the 41st annual Trek Across Maine on Father’s Day Weekend – June 13-15, 2025! Choose our traditional 3-day, 180-mile option, or do it your own way, virtually. The ride starts and ends at the scenic Thomas Point Beach & Campground in Brunswick, Maine, with acres of lush woods and clean tidal beachfront. While riding the Trek you will travel through the rolling hills of central Maine, riding through many memorable Maine towns, including Freeport with a stop at the iconic LL Bean, with views of the wild lupines and serene Maine lakes and rivers along the way. Overnight stops at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, and St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine, provide a place to rest and relax after each leg of the Trek. Activities, entertainment and food are all a part of the full Trek experience at each location. Our ride is fully equipped with volunteers, local and state law enforcement, and support vehicles along the route. There are three rest stops daily with fresh snacks and drinks for you to refuel before continuing your ride.

This event is open to the public - All are welcome to attend this Native American Event! There will be Drums, Dancers, Vendors and Raffles. Please visit our Food Vendors for some delicious food and drinks. Hosted by: NH Intertribal Nattive American Council and The Wells Chamber of Commerce.

Maine Japanese Woodworking Festival 2025

The annual Maine Japanese Woodworking Festival brings together the best of the Japanese woodworking community where beginners to seasoned woodworkers can share their experience, learn from tool and technique demonstrations and workshops, and compete in a contest to pull the thinnest shaving with a Japanese hand plane. This year we are expanding from 3 to 4 days, starting with an all-hands group timber frame raising and continuing the tradition of in-depth, hands-on workshops, expert instructors, opportunities to learn and practice with Japanese tools, and special events including a Japanese boat launch ceremony, swordsmanship demonstration, BBQ Bonfire Party, and of course the revered planing competition! Featured presenters include Jeff Bearce, Jim Blauvelt, Dorian Bracht, Douglas Brooks, Jason Forster, John Reed Fox, Yann Giguere, Brian Holcombe, Andrew Hunter, Alex Perez, Andrew Ren, Sayuri Suzuki, and Jay Van Arsdale. Most ticket packages include meals and free on-site camping is available!

Ralph Steadman: And Another Thing

Spanning over 60 years of Ralph Steadman’s influential and lauded career, the exhibition fills the museum’s upper and lower galleries with more than 140 original artworks and ephemera, including sketchbooks, handwritten notes, and personal photographs. Steadman is best known for his long collaboration with Hunter S. Thompson, notably illustrating 1971’s "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream," a partnership that defined Gonzo journalism, a style of reporting that blends personal experience with political commentary. Interactive resources in the exhibition will encourage visitors to look deeply and make connections between works.

This year’s Music Fest features an electrifying lineup, with Motor Booty Affair headlining the event and Fugitive performing. This festival is about more than just music; it’s about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with autism and intellectual developmental disabilities. Proceeds from the Music Fest will directly support Waypoint’s children’s and adults’ programs.
