Campground in Mid Coast region make for great family vacations

Campgrounds are a great lodging choice for people who want to enjoy an outdoor vacation at a reasonable cost in Midcoast Maine, encompassing towns of Rockland, Camden, Brunswick, Boothbay, and Bath. Midcoast ME campgrounds are plentiful; many are operated by the state parks. Among the campground choices in this region is the Camden Hills State Park, located at the foot of Mount Battie.

This scenic park is located at the foot of Mount Battie, and is 5,000 acres. Visitors to this camp will enjoy the trails for hiking, cross-country skiing and snowmobilers. Of particular interest is the view from the summit of Mount Battie, 900 feet above sea level. A public campsite is available.

Warren Island State Park
