You have your own ideas about what will make your wedding day truly one-of-a-kind. At the Village by the Sea condominium resort, your experienced wedding coordinators want to hear all of them. Designing your day with your personal touches is important, whether that means table decor, how to entertain overnight guests or what your custom-designed wedding cake will look like. At the resort, next to a nature preserve with a glimpse of the Atlantic, you can choose everything from an outdoor ceremony, under an elegant pergola, for 200 guests, with a ballroom reception, or a mid-morning brunch wedding for a more intimate gathering. Guests will know your wedding is going to be one-of-a-kind when they get to the location via a short, scenic boat ride from Portland, ME’s Old Port district. Upon arrival at the Inn at Diamond Cove, they’ll walk up to a charming grove overlooking a sparkling cove, to hear you exchange your vows. Afterward, perhaps there will be a cocktail party on the lush lawn, followed by a reception in a lovely (and all-weather) Sperry tent with a meal provided by the top-notch caterers. The tent can host up to 200 guests. Another unique reception venue is the Art Gallery, a special space with 40-foot vaulted ceilings, sliding barn doors and exposed wooden beams giving it a rustic-luxe feel. Weddings are held June through early October at this luxurious island retreat.
