All tours offer travel adventure along with photography education and take you to some of the most spectacular locations on the Maine coast, and beyond. Offerings include half-day walks, full-day tours, and multi-day excursions. Individuals and families, all skill levels, and all camera types are welcome. You’ll find tour excursions that will bring you to exceptional Maine gardens, spectacular lighthouse locations, thriving island communities, lobster-fishing harbors, quaint New England villages, artist studios, boat rides across the bay, breathtaking autumn foliage, cascading waterfalls, distinguished covered bridges, traditional sailing vessel regattas, popular locations and hidden spots. Camera techniques will be discussed throughout the day along with constant review of your images. Led by local, fine-art photographer, Dee Peppe.
Outdoor adventures await at this Midcoast Mountain Retreat
You will feel like you are in the middle of a nature preserve at Point Lookout, 387 acres of picturesque mountain terrain overlooking beautiful Penobscot Bay. Rent a fully furnished pine log cabin (1, 2, or 3-bedroom) and enjoy the Maine scenery from your screened-in porch. Or get out there rent some snowshoes or a kayak and hit the trails, open year-round. Nearby is cross-country or downhill skiing, ice skating, ice fishing and tobogganing. In the summer, hike to Knights Pond on the property and enjoy the quiet beach, perfect for swimming and picnicking.
