The Abbe Museum's Dawnland Festival Collaborates with the Smithsonian

The Dawnland Festival of Arts & Ideas returns on the campus of College of the Atlantic. Hosted by the Abbe Museum, this multi-day summer festival celebrates Wabanaki and Native thought leadership through panels, performances, and a Northeastern Native arts market.

The 2026 festival marks a special collaboration with the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage as part of the Of the People: Smithsonian Festival of Festivals. Select panels and performances will feature joint programming, while the festival remains firmly centered on Wabanaki voices, perspectives, and cultural stewardship.

Taste of Allagash: The Origin Tour

Infant-wearing is welcome - the tour path through our manufacturing plant is not suitable for young children or strollers. Guests who are not drinking beer can purchase a Designated Driver ticket and will have a choice of NA beverage. Dogs are not allowed on this manufacturing plant tour.

Boykin, Joan Szymko, Ruth Morris Gray, and David Vernier. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance, as these concerts often sell out.

We will give special emphasis to Professor Pettey's work regarding the impact of term limits on the number of women running for office and achieving legislative representation.
